Healthy Learning - Maternal mortality (AKI) is the large number of deaths of women while pregnant or during the 42 days of termination of pregnancy without regard to long and the place of delivery, caused by her pregnancy or its management, and not due to other causes, per 100,000 live births. According to Health RI (2002), that aid delivery by health workers is one of the indicators of the health of the mother. So the aid delivery by health workers can prevent complications and penyulit at the time of birth until the mother gets a clean, safe childbirth and adekuat. One factor that greatly influences the occurrence of maternal mortality is the ability and skills to assist in childbirth. Aid delivery by the shaman gives rise to various problems and is a major cause of the high mortality and pain.
